Evanescence has become the newest member of Spotify's Billion Plays Club with their 2003 single "Bring Me To Life," the band's first song to surpass 1 billion streams.

The Billions Club is a playlist launched by Spotify in 2020 that includes all songs that have reached a billion plays on the streaming service. Upon achieving this milestone, the artists are presented with a special plaque. 

The song, which is part of the album Fallen , will now be alongside hits such as “Paradise City” by Guns N' Roses , “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica , “Rocket Man” by Elton John and “Here Comes The Sun” by The Beatles .

To celebrate the achievement, the band expressed their gratitude and happiness on social media:

“We can’t thank you enough for joining us on our journey. Incredibly grateful that Bring Me To Life has reached over 1 billion streams on Spotify!”, wrote the official Evanescence Instagram account.

In January 2022, the music video for the same song reached 1 billion views on YouTube.
