Bring Me the Horizon was voted the best rock band in the UK right now by The Guardian in a review of a show from the Post Human Tour , the group's first since the start of the pandemic.
The performance that earned them the title of best band in the country was praised for its effects, from the visual aspect to the presence of dancers on stage, Oli Sykes , and the combination of "electronic elements with the swagger of nu-metal" in the sound, described as capable of pleasing even the older and more demanding generations of metal fans.
“The band’s live presence is silly and often teeters on the edge of cliché, but it’s simply impossible not to appreciate this spectacular collision of polished pop and scorching metal,” praised the British newspaper. “Don’t say it out loud, but even the grizzled thrash veterans of Slayer can appreciate these mind-blowing riffs.”
According to the newspaper, Bring Me The Horizon has been on a steady upward trajectory since its founding in 2004, which will possibly lead them to the status of stadium bands. "They are the leading rock band in the country, and the truth is, they have been for some time," the review concluded.
The band's performance at Bonus Arena Hull in England marked the live debut of several tracks from the album Post Human: Survival Horror , released in October 2020, as well as the first performance of the single "DiE4u" , released last Friday, the 17th.
