British band Bring Me The Horizon has postponed the release of their album Post Human: NeX GEn , which was scheduled for September 15th. A new date has not yet been announced.

The news was announced by vocalist Oli Sykes via social media. In the statement, he did not explain why the band decided to postpone the release, other than that "the album wasn't ready the way they wanted it."

“Then I received bad news… next gen will not arrive on September 15th. Unforeseen circumstances prevented us from completing the registration to the standard we would have liked. I had hoped that, despite the setbacks, we could get it done in time for you, but there are still so many small details that I want to be perfect and until it’s all sorted out, I’m simply not willing to give you that. We can’t give you a new date yet, but know that it’s close… and I know you’ve been so patient, but you just need to be a little more…”

Oli ended by revealing the album artwork: “At least we finished the artwork… here’s the final cover from my muse @alissic [ Alissa Salls , Oli’s wife ].” See the cover and the statement at the end of this article.

Conceptually, the album takes place after the events of POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR , where humanity went through a traumatic apocalyptic experience. In this next phase, the remaining humans cling to the idea of salvation and place their trust in the false promises of an entity from another planet called NEXGEN .
