Bring Me The Horizon Lo-files this Friday, the 11th . The new album is a 23-song project containing lo-fi remixes of their most famous songs, from the album Sempiternal (2013) to the present day.
Vocalist Oli Sykes describes the album as “utilitarian music,” intended for moments of quiet creativity or introspection. “The original idea for our album Go To Music To Listen To… project from 2019] was actually something more tranquil: an album you could put on while studying or relaxing. It ended up being much more chaotic than I initially intended.”
"So, I think this is more of an attempt to create something discreet. I listen to a lot of lo-fi when I'm working or anxious, so I hope this record can do the same for other people."
Lo-files is the unexpected sequel to the 2024 album Post Human: Nex Gen , released just one day earlier.
Bring Me The Horizon announced the project's release last Tuesday, the 10th, via social media, but until then, without a release date. The band posted a video with a homemade and old-school aesthetic, showing behind-the-scenes footage from their European tour:
“We collaborated with lo-fi producers we love to release a new project where we revisit BMTH tracks and create lo-fi versions of them. These tracks are for relaxing, focusing, sleeping, or letting your mind wander… whatever you prefer. Coming soon.”
