“Mother Tongue” takes place in Brazil and part of the lyrics are sung in Portuguese.

Bring Me The Horizon has released the new music video for “Mother Tongue,” which is set in Brazil. The song is part of the band's latest album, amo , released in January.

Interestingly, the song includes a phrase in Portuguese: "So don't say you love me/ Fala amo". The word "amo" is the name of the album, chosen because the vocalist Oli Sykes' wife is Brazilian.

Oli even spoke about this new album and how it deals with various emotions. “Amo is a love album that explores all aspects of this powerful emotion. It deals with the good, the bad, and the ugly. As a result, we created an album that is more experimental, more varied, stranger, and more wonderful than anything we’ve done before.”
