After a year, the Heavy Music Awards returned on Thursday night, September 2nd, to honor the most significant names of the year in rock and metal. The awards ceremony saw many new faces emerging on the scene, such as Hot Milk and Wargasm , and two of the night's winners were Bring Me The Horizon and the English duo Nova Twins.

Bring Me The Horizon took home two of the biggest awards of the night; Best UK Band and Best Album, for their work on the 2020 album POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR . In his acceptance speech, vocalist Oli Sykes thanked the event and announced that the sequel to the POST HUMAN is about to arrive: “This is just the beginning of a new journey for us. Chapter 2 of POST HUMAN will be released very, very soon – we have many exciting things to reveal in the coming weeks!”

The singer had previously announced that the POST HUMAN would be a series of 4 EPs , all with different sounds, and recently the band announced the single “DiE4u” , which will be released on September 16th.

Another highlight of the night was the British duo Nova Twins , who won the Best Video award for their work on the song “Taxi”. In 2020, the duo won the UK Best Newcomer award at the Heavy Music Awards and collaborated with Bring Me The Horizon on the track “1×1” from POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR.
