Oli Sykes responds to whether Bring Me The Horizon will return to making heavier music.

The vocalist gave more details about his plans for the 'Post Human' EP series.

After collaborations with Ed Sheeran , Machine Gun Kelly , and Masked Wolf Bring Me The Horizon fans can't help but wonder: will the band ever return to playing a completely heavy sound?

In an interview with Kerrang!, vocalist Oli Sykes said that he “would never say never” and reminded everyone that there are still four EPs from the Post Human to be made , so “you never know how each one will sound”.

So far, Bring Me The Horizon has only released one single from the new EP, the track “DiE4u” . While this may have raised hopes that a full release is imminent, it's good to keep in mind that the complete album may still take some time to see the light of day.

According to Oli, he recently managed to dedicate more time to the various demos the band has for their next project. “I had an epiphany recently. I know that nothing we had was good enough, but then I sat down and listened to everything with a bit more perspective, and there are some really good things there,” he says.

“It’s not healthy to think that we always have to outdo ourselves, but at the same time, we want that – especially when it seems like we have more eyes on us than ever before. Sometimes we think the best thing to do is release a grandiose rock song when everyone is watching, something easy to digest and that anyone can listen to, but that’s not what our hearts tell us. We want to be progressive; we want to be weird; we don’t want to be an ordinary band,” he concludes.

Regarding the Post Human , Oli Sykes commented that Bring Me The Horizon wants to create something that sounds "nostalgic, yet progressive and futuristic," and that the project will be more "expressive, loose," and "fun," but until it's finished, he "can't say for sure."
