Bring Me The Horizon , an English band formed in 2004, attended the BRIT Awards in London on Saturday, December 2nd, and vocalist Oli Sykes and drummer Mat Nicholls on the red carpet led to an interview where they talked a little more about their upcoming studio project.
“It’s almost ready, but not quite complete yet,” Oli said in an interview with NME (via Blabbermouth ). The band’s drummer agreed and added: “It’s not totally finished, but it’s closer than ever. We came back from the tour and built a studio in Sheffield and, yeah, we just moved forward, put our heads down and everyone came together. And, yeah, we’re getting there. It’s so close.”
The new album, titled Post Human: Nex Gen , was scheduled for release in September 2023, but due to unforeseen circumstances, both Sykes and the rest of the band faced setbacks in its completion .
“Every time we think we’ve got it, we pick another song, and it’s like, ‘oh,’ but it’s going to be really good. It’s the best album ever. So it will be worth the wait.” Mat added: “It sounds really good and we’re very happy with it. It takes time, doesn’t it? You can’t rush these things.”
