After joining forces for a performance at the 2022 Brit Awards , pop singer Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon confirmed a studio version of the single "Bad Habits" in a metalcore style.

The announcement was made via a video call between Sheeran and Oli Sykes where they discussed recording a studio version, and the pop singer asked the post-metal band's vocalist: "Go all out with the guttural vocals at the end." The track is already available for pre-save and is expected to be released this Friday, the 18th ( Kerrang! ).

Recently, Ed Sheeran revealed that he will be writing a song with Bring Me The Horizon and that the two had already been discussing it before the start of the pandemic. "I've been a fan of theirs for a long time," said the pop singer. "Believe it or not, I grew up listening to this genre of music. I had a Kerrang! and listened to [metal] constantly."
