Bring Me The Horizon announced a new song titled “Kool-Aid” and revealed a reunion with producer Dan Lancaster.
Earlier this week, the group shared a pre-save link for the single , but now vocalist Oli Sykes has confirmed that “Kool-Aid” will arrive this Friday, the 5th, and revealed a meeting with Lancaster, producer and mixing engineer.
The British composer is known for his work with BMTH – including mixing their 2015 That's The Spirit amo , and a number of tracks on their EP POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR – and is expected to be involved in the mixing and/or production of “Kool-Aid”.
New album
Bring Me The Horizon has released “DarkSide”, the first single from the group's upcoming album, Post Human: NeX GEn .
The album was previously scheduled for release in September, but the lead singer wrote on social media that "unforeseen circumstances prevented us from completing the recording to the standard we would have liked." The band has not announced a new release date.
Jordan Fish's departure
The band announced on December 22nd the departure of keyboardist Jordan Fish. The news was released on the group's social media.
“Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish,” the message reads. “We want to thank him for the musical journey he’s shared with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile, we continue working on Nex Gen, with new music coming very soon.”
In a post on his social media, Jordan says: “I am very grateful for my 11 years with the band and extremely proud of everything we accomplished together. I look forward to hearing what they do next and wish them all the success in the future.”
