Brian May plays Bohemian Rhapsody solo

Brian May plays a solo of "Bohemian Rhapsody" for the film's cast.

May posted a video of himself playing the solo from "Bohemian Rhapsody" for Gwilym Lee.

Queen guitarist Brian May has released a video of himself playing the guitar solo from "Bohemian Rhapsody." Actor Gwilym Lee , who portrays May, is watching.

While May plays, some other cast and crew members begin to arrive to watch.

May said: “This clip was stolen from Bryan Singer , who secretly filmed it with his iPhone. When the crew was shooting this scene, I was nearby. Then, Gwil invited me to play! How did I do? Well, obviously not as well as Gwil! He's a trained artist!”

May further added that this solo doesn't sound like what ended up in the film because he only had the idea when he was "polishing the track. Anyway, we didn't have the location to do it that day," he explained. "In the film, you hear an alternate take of the solo that may be the one before the final solo on the album! That is, if it wasn't a stroke of genius on the first take. Honestly, I don't remember!"
