A hero of the guitar and of society: former Outbreak guitarist Brian Kemsley prevented a man from kidnapping a baby in New York City.
The artist and his girlfriend were sitting on a bench in Madison Square Park when they heard a woman screaming. When they went to check the situation, they found a man trying to take a baby from its mother's stroller.
Kemsley, a Muay Thai instructor, didn't think twice: he immobilized the stranger, drawing the attention of many people in the park until the police arrived. The man tried to convince him that the baby could be his, questioning why he thought the child belonged to the crying woman, he told the New York Daily News .
"Throughout the whole thing, it became clear that the man had mental health issues. If I had let him go, who knows what other people would have done," the artist also questioned.
