Last Wednesday, the 24th, the Canadian website Bravewords announced the launch of a new series on the Sky Arts television channel, which premieres in February and features Brian Johnson , vocalist of AC/DC , and Mark Knopfler , of Dire Straits , as presenters.
With 6 episodes, Brian Johnson and Mark Knopfler's Good Times doesn't yet have a trailer, but promises to explore the history of popular music, discussing the important moments that transformed these two artists into unique and world-renowned musicians.
The guests already announced were the American singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris , who has already released projects with Mark Knopfler, and also Sam Fender , an English singer, songwriter and guitarist who has performed live alongside Brian Johnson .
Sky Arts is a British television channel with content about the arts, including music, theatre and film. The channel had already produced another series with Brian Johnson in 2017, entitled Brian Johnson's Life On The Road . That program also had 6 episodes and featured appearances by big names in world rock, such as Lars Ulrich (Metallica) , Nick Mason (Pink Floyd) , Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) and Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) . In addition to Sky Arts, the new series will also be broadcast on Freeview Channel 36 and NOW TV.
New album by Mark Knopfler and AC/DC in Brazil
The new series alongside the AC/DC frontman came at a good time for Mark Knopfler, who is already taking advantage of the opportunity to promote his new solo album. Titled One Deep River , the album is officially scheduled for release on April 12th (via UCR ) and already has its debut single available on audio platforms.
Brian Johnson may have a date set to return to Brazil with AC/DC . The band's last show in the country was in 2009, a single performance that filled the Morumbi stadium with over 65,000 fans. Speculation suggests the band could come between September and October of this year.
