In a recent interview with GoetiaMedia, Brian Baker, guitarist for Bad Religion, stated that he has no plans to retire. The musician, also known as one of the founders of the hardcore punk band Minor Threat , has been with Bad Religion since 1994. Spanish journalist Jorge Fretes asked if the musician has plans to retire, similar to the members of NOFX who recently announced their farewell from the stage, to which he replied, "You do it until you can't anymore."

For Brian, making music isn't work, it's art. He explained: “Well, the thing is, giving up implies that it's some kind of job, some task, or something you have to do. I don't know how to express it. It's an artistic expression and it's fun. It's something we do because we enjoy doing it, and it's great that we can do something and have people want to come and see it, but we would do it even if they didn't come.” He concluded: “It doesn't matter. And then the idea of simply closing this channel, I don't know, it doesn't even make sense to me.”

45 years of Bad Religion

Bad Religion, founded in Los Angeles in 1980, will celebrate its 45th anniversary in 2025. The group is known for its socio-political music, which always questions authority. During the interview, Brian emphasized how the band has always focused on questioning and dangerous political situations, such as Trump's re-election, which serves as inspiration for the group.

The group's last album, "Age Of Unreason," was released in 2019 and was highly acclaimed by critics. This work addressed not only socio-political issues, but also conspiracy theories, racist rallies, the erosion of the middle class, and other themes relevant to the time.

When it turned 20, the band released the biography "Do What You Want: The Story Of Bad Religion," written with the group's support. It also includes rare photos and never-before-seen material from their archives. Furthermore, it covers the band's entire history, from highs to lows, and from the perspective of all the members.
