Bret Michaels , lead singer of Poison , named who he considers to be the best rock band of all time.

The artist spoke, along with Sammy Hagar , on an AXS TV . Michaels mentioned Led Zeppelin , Lynyrd Skynyrd , and Thin Lizzy as some of his rock heroes.

When asked which is the best rock band in his opinion, the vocalist replied that "the best rock 'n' roll band, by far" is AC/DC , to which Sammy also agreed.

Michaels' response is not surprising, given that he has praised the band several times in the past, naming them as one of his favorites when mourning the loss of guitarist Malcolm Young , via Blabbermouth .

Hagar then asks who his greatest hero is, regardless of their field. Bret chose someone who isn't part of the music world, but rather his own father.

"My father, being a Navy veteran, loves this country. He's faced many adversities in his life and has been fighting. That adversity and how he dealt with it really got to me," he explains.
