Claustrofobia released a Portuguese version of Pantera 's as a bonus track on their album Unleeched . Much more than a cover, "Força Além da Força" showcases the band's ability to appropriate the song, creating both a tribute and a completely new track simultaneously, which is Wikimetal 's recommendation this week.

With an album entirely in English, the band initially released the song as an exclusive track on the physical version of the album in Brazil, and now it's available on all digital platforms and has a nostalgic and humorous music video, with references to the golden age of rock on MTV.

Interestingly, the idea for creating "Força Além da Força" came from foreign friends who weren't even that big metal fans. The band was recording a cover in English and received the suggestion. "I got the lyrics, started looking at them and said, 'Dude, these lyrics can't be translated, it's impossible.' We started translating, and it became like one of our own songs," explained Marcus D'Angelo  in an interview with Wikimetal .

“Força Além da Força” manages to pay a competent tribute to Pantera, one of the most impactful metal bands, through its brutal sound and the trio's technical skill, but it also becomes a track with Claustrofobia's DNA by bringing lyrics in the style of the band's compositions and with a potent energy that, surprisingly, only Portuguese could bring.

The band's new album was released in March by Metal Assault Records and distributed in Brazil by Wikimetal . Listen here .
