While some people believe that rock is dead or that Brazilian music is limited to the most popular styles, national rock and heavy metal bands constantly prove otherwise, despite all the challenges and, unfortunately, lack of support from the local audience.
As part of Wikimetal to build bridges and promote the national scene to the rock and metal community, we bring you another National Pride with bands you need to listen to: Brujar , Wolfshade , and Desonra .
Brujar
Brujar is a band with 20 years of experience and over 200 shows to their credit. The group returned to the stage in May 2022, a few months after releasing the single "Cogito Ergo Sum".
The group consists of Bruno Santiago (vocals), João Soüza (guitar), Paulo Sérgio (drums), and Robson Chuckson (bass), and draws inspiration from progressive rock, hard rock, and heavy metal.
Wolfshade
Wolfshade released their second album, Contos de Quimeras , in August 2022. The work was recorded at Estúdio Level (Vila-Velha, Espírito Santo), produced by Léo Moline and Wolfshade, and mixed by Manfredo Savassi in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
There are eight tracks ranging from heavy metal to death metal, showcasing the lineup of Eduardo Tob (bass and vocals), Alex Buck (guitar), Erivaldo Frechiani (guitar), Leo Zamprogno (keyboards), and Wagner Amazarack (drums).
Dishonor
Drawing inspiration from Metallica , Slayer , Gojira , Black Sabbath , Sepultura , and others, Desonra has been active since 2014. With their second album, Discórdia , recently released, the group is entering a new phase.
