International bands will always be in our hearts and headphones, but when we're talking about rock and heavy metal, Brazil is undoubtedly a sea full of incredible bands that, unfortunately, don't receive the attention they deserve.
With that in mind, the Wikimetal is always looking for national bands to showcase to our readers. Today we've selected three bands: Muddora, Insane Driver , and Terra.
Insane Driver
Next Friday, the 27th, the band Insane Driver will release their new album Silicon Fortress , a perfect blend of heavy metal, metalcore, and post-grunge. The quintet has already released three singles: “Age of Lies”, “Invisible Chains”, and “Keep Away”.
The Insane Driver lineup features Eder Franco (vocals), Dan Bigal (guitar and backing vocals), Dave Martins (guitar), Cesar Castro (bass and backing vocals), and Wagner Neute (drums and keyboards).
Muddora
Hailing from the lowlands of Rio de Janeiro, Muddora debuted in the music world with two singles and a music video: “Entre Mim e Você” (Between Me and You) and “Mentes e Loucuras” (Minds and Madness). According to the group, the first track is about the end of a relationship and how “there are no winners and most of the time one always comes out more hurt than the other.” In the second track, the group explores the everyday difficulties we face.
With strong influences from Alter Bridge and Creed , Muddora is formed by Déh (guitar), Lionel (guitar), Léo Monteiro (vocals), Vini (drums) and Félix (bass).
Earth
Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Lucas Barbosa has just released his first single and lyric video with his band Terra , the song "Let It Burn," a track from their debut album Hypercube , which will be released on November 19th.
Lucas Barbosa played almost all the instruments, including acoustic and electric guitar, bass, Brazilian guitar, charango, Andean flute, harmonica, piano, and percussion, in addition to singing all the songs.
