As part of Wikimetal to build bridges and promote the national scene to the rock and metal community, we bring you another National Pride with bands you need to listen to, from different corners of Brazil!

Let's go!

Human

Founded in February 2020 in the city of Curitiba, Humanal draws on influences from a mix of various genres and rhythms such as jazz and progressive rock, aiming for a brutal and aggressive sound.

With influences from Black Sabbath, Sepultura, Pantera, and Gojira , the trio seeks to address themes of the human condition and social relationships, contradictions, and anxieties. You can hear all of this in the group's new single, "Apathy," below.

Humanal consists of André Lazzaretti (guitar and vocals), Mauricio Escher (bass), and André Preto (drums).

Slasher

The São Paulo-based band Slasher is currently working on the successor to KATHARSIS , and has released the first single from this new phase.

“End of the Road” was inspired by horror plots and, according to bassist Weillington Clemente , “It’s about survival, but from a philosophical point of view it goes much further. It can be about overcoming a difficult phase in life, madness, farewells, and even the belief in continuity at the end of one's own life.”

Mercy Killing

thrash metal band Mercy Killing is concluding this career cycle with the song "Idiosyncrasy." From this point on, the group will no longer be a quartet.

The lineup in the video consists of Vanessa Rafaelly (vocals), Alexandre “Texa” (guitar), Marlonn Fabrício (drums), and founding member Leonardo Barzi (bass). Now, the band officially announces the addition of Lucas Lichesk i, former guitarist of HellGun .

Another piece of news from Mercy Killing is that the song "Sufrágio" will be included in the compilation edition Nordeste Em Chamas 2.

Wild n' Wasted

In a blend of Brazil and Italy comes Wild n' Wasted, sleaze metal band that is preparing their EP and gave us a sample of the work with "Devil Girl" – see below.

Wild n' Wasted consists of Thiago De Moraes (vocals), Lixx (guitar), Davide Juliani (guitar), Yari (bass), and Luca Mechelli (drums).

Atomic Elephant

Rounding out our list is an instrumental group that was born during the pandemic. With the goal of keeping their minds occupied while chaos gripped the world, Renato Osorio (guitar), Thiago Caurio (drums), and Gustavo Strapazon (bass) formed Atomic Elephant.

The trio has just released their first EP, self-titled, and you can listen to it below.
