The Minas Gerais-based punk and hardcore band Traste Rastros, Resquícios y Otras Cositas Mas this Friday, the 18th, Psywar Records label
Featuring a collection of 13 songs, recorded at Rise Together Studio (Juiz de Fora–MG), produced and mixed by Tierez Oliveira , and mastered by Chris Hanzsek at Hanzsek Audio (USA).
Loaded with noise, mixing hardcore, punk, and stoner rock, the album is violent. It's the most visceral and sincere record Traste has made to date. Recorded live, the instrumental features guitar, bass, and drums playing together, with layers of vocals, guitar overdubs, and other elements added later.
Lead singer Guilherme Melich commented:
“In a way, it’s a summary of our history as a band, bringing together important elements from our entire journey. The hardcore punk roots are preserved, but with that constant flirtation with stoner rock and more extreme sounds.”
The album features 13 tracks, including the singles "MM's" , "Sete Palmos e Meio", and the captivating "Pietá" , as well as the catchy "Velhos Quintais" and "The Devil".
“Besides these, the other songs are updated versions of previous versions, since, with Polato joining the band, these songs gained a different feel and intensity. Tracks like 'Canto ao Câncer' and 'Estelar' come from our second EP, and they get a new look here. Other songs like 'Raspa de Cipó' and 'Tudo é Marketing' come from 'Retalhos', the last EP we released before this album,” says Guilherme.
Traces, Remnants and Other Little Things But brings the freshness and energy that the band exudes at this moment. Their experiences are present, their frustrations, failures and revolt against the cruelties of the world and the ills of existence are present on the album.
