The Killers ' lead singer , Brandon Flowers , still finds the nostalgia for the 2000s strange. Even being part of one of the biggest bands of that era, the singer thinks the return of that aesthetic is premature.

“We knew that The Killers were viewed with a bit of suspicion back then (for being revivalists), but luckily we managed to get through all that. We did a job we're proud of and we're still working on it. It's strange to see people so nostalgic about the early 2000s, it doesn't seem like that much time has passed. I think it's still a bit early to be nostalgic!”, Brandon commented on nostalgia to the newspaper O Globo .

The Killers will perform this Saturday, the 12th, at the GP Week in São Paulo, at Allianz Parque . The festival also features Twenty One Pilots , Hot Chip , The Band Camino , and Fresno . The band's second gig is in Brasília on the eve of the holiday, the 14th, at Arena BRB Mané Garrincha . Tickets for the São Paulo and Brasília Eventim website .

The single “ boy ”, which premiered in August, marks The Killers' return since the cancellation of the Imploding The Mirage due to the pandemic. The band plans to release a new album in 2023, but further details have not yet been released.
