Botafogo rejected a proposal from promoter Live Nation to host the Linkin Park at Nilton Santos stadium , located in Rio de Janeiro.
As reported by Nicola's channel , the concert that was to be held at the stadium in November was rejected due to concerns that the team would be without its stadium during crucial stages of the 2025 championships, disrupting the Rio de Janeiro team's schedule.
On November 8th, Linkin Park will perform at Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo, one day before the second leg of the Copa do Brasil final. São Paulo fans have been critical, partly due to the date of the event. However, the São Paulo team will receive over R$ 3 million to host the concert.
Botafogo rejects, but the show goes on
Another club that also refused to host the event at its stadium was Palmeiras. Despite the refusals, the band is still scheduled to perform at two more stadiums: Curitiba, at Couto Pereira , on November 5th; São Paulo, at Morumbi on November 8th; and Brasília, on November 11th, at Arena BRB Mané Garrincha .
Tickets for the shows are available on the Ticketmaster and at physical points of sale in each location.
