The book *A Face da Besta ), by Brazilian author Alvaro Tamarindo , takes fans of the band on a journey through the universe of heavy metal album covers, especially those of Iron Maiden.

The book analyzes metal iconography and attempts to understand how this genre remains more alive than ever, despite often being ignored by the mainstream. Throughout the chapters, the book examines the origins of the musical style and its history. 

Bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest , and Metallica , with a special focus on Iron Maiden, from their various lineup changes and controversies with the church, to their race to absolute success.

After providing a historical context for metal, the book explores logos, song lyrics, mascots, album covers, and various marketing strategies that create this unique iconography, delving into Maiden's album covers as a true case study.

Born in the 1990s, author Alvaro Tamarindo has been a rock fan since childhood and fell in love with heavier sounds in his teens.
