Phil X , the guitarist for the band Bon Jovi , spoke in a recent interview with The Metal Voice about the health of the vocalist, Jon Bon Jovi . Furthermore, he revealed that there is news on the way.

The guitarist said: “An album came out last year called 'Forever', right? There's a surprise coming soon, some new songs that will be released this year. I can't say, that's what a surprise means.”

Even though he didn't reveal much about the surprise, he commented that the new songs are already finished and even have names: "We recorded the songs, they're ready. I know what the titles are, but I can't share them. All I can say is that I managed to kill it on one of the songs, it was fun."

In addition to the band's surprise, Phil also commented on Jon's health: "He's been on the right track to recovery. We're enjoying it, he's hitting notes that nobody has heard in a long time. We enjoy it for a few hours and that's it."

Jon Bon Jovi and his vocal cord surgery

A little over two years ago, Jon Bon Jovi underwent vocal surgery and is still recovering. Phil commented on his bandmate's situation: "He's not ready to tour yet." This only confirms that, for now, we won't have a tour for the new album Forever .

However, Jon Bon Jovi said in an interview with People that he was gradually recovering: “We performed last night in Nashville, and everything went very well. So, step by step, I'm coming back.”

Born into a family passionate about music of various genres (more precisely, country music and Roberto Carlos), she discovered the good life of Rock and Roll at age 11 (she was Emo, but who wasn't?) through school friends, and hasn't stopped since. Hyper-focused (only on things she likes), she discovered genres that weren't popular at the time and became attached to them (yes, I'm a defender of Metal Espadinha, Folk, and Celtic). Involved with music behind the scenes and even on stage, she even played the saxophone (to play Kenny G). Currently, she plays piano and bass and fiercely defends the idea that you can be a metalhead (any kind) and cry to Corazón Partío. A graduate in Digital Social Media from Belas Artes, she is a Social Media Manager at a music school. She enjoys writing and defending her opinions so much that she became a contributor to the Wikimetal website's writing team.
