After being honored with the MusiCares "Personality of the Year" award last Friday, December 2nd, Jon Bon Jovi took the opportunity to present his new single, "Legendary," alongside his band.

According to Forbes , the musician made a point of energizing the audience at the beginning of the show: “I want to remind everyone that this is a Bon Jovi show. We don’t watch sitting down.”

After finishing the performance of his new single, the benefit tribute show continued. The night was filled with big names in music showcasing their versions of the singer's classics. Among them, Sammy Hagar and Orianthi played "You Give Love a Bad Name," Mammoth WVH gave a special touch to "It's My Life," and the Goo Goo Dolls covered "This House is Not For Sale."

Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen

native of Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen took to the stage and performed “Who Says You Can't Go Home” and “Promised Land” alongside his friend. Springsteen's mother, Adele , passed away at the age of 98 on Tuesday night, June 30th. Despite such a profound personal loss, Bruce made sure to be there to support his friend.

“Bruce’s mother passed away two days ago, and when I received the news, he was already on the plane on his way,” Bon Jovi said on stage. “I certainly would have understood if he had said he couldn’t make it, but he wanted to be here tonight. He wanted to be here for MusiCares and for me, and I will be eternally grateful to you for everything.” 

Although he didn't go on stage, former Beatle Paul McCartney . He and his wife Nancy Shevell were seated with Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea , next to Rita Wilson and Springsteen.

MusiCares is a non-profit organization, incorporated by The Recording Academy, which produces the Grammy Awards. It provides numerous types of assistance to members of the music community, including emergency financial assistance, coverage of medical expenses, and treatment for serious illnesses.

The MusiCares "Person of the Year" award is given annually to renowned artists in recognition of their contributions to the recording industry and philanthropic dedication.
Jon Bon Jovi now joins a select group of artists honored by MusiCares. Among them are Dolly Parton , Aerosmith , Fleetwood Mac , Lionel Richie , and last year's honorees Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson .
