According to The Hollywood Reporter , Bohemian Rhapsody will be shown in China without any scenes of a homosexual nature.

The announcement of Bohemian Rhapsody Rami Malek 's speech . The actor won the Best Actor Oscar on the 24th. Mango TV , one of the few channels broadcasting the ceremony live, censored a speech with LGBTQ+ references.
In his speech, Malek said: “Listen, we made a film about a gay, immigrant man who lived his life unapologetically for being himself. The fact that I’m celebrating his story tonight shows that we need stories like this.” The network's subtitles removed “gay man” and replaced it with “from a special group.”
