The award-winning Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody , is close to grossing $1 billion at the box office. So far, it has earned $901 million internationally, according to Variety .

Among the countries that generated the most profit are Japan, where the film grossed US$114 million; South Korea made US$76 million and the United Kingdom US$71 million. The film cost Fox only US$50 million.

Bohemian Rhapsody is not only a box office success, but also a hit during awards season. It won Best Picture at the Golden Globes and numerous Best Actor awards for Rami Malek , who played Freddie Mercury, including an Oscar .
