Body Count has announced that they will release a new studio album sometime in 2021. The successor to Carnivore (2020) already has a name: Merciless .

The news was announced on the group's social media. "Even though we weren't able to perform a single live show to support the album Carnivore because of the pandemic, we've made the decision to officially launch the new BC Merciless in 2021."

Merciless will mark Body Count's eighth studio album, and after the pandemic, the new release is expected to be accompanied by a tour from the band, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year.
