Bob Dylan narrates the trailer for Lost Americana , the new album by American rapper Machine Gun Kelly . The singer's seventh album is scheduled for release on August 8, 2025.
Therefore, at the start of the video, we hear Dylan's voice saying (transcribed via Loudwire ):
“ Lost Americana is a personal excavation of the American dream — a journey to find what was lost. This album is a love letter to those who seek to rediscover it, the dreamers, the wanderers, the corrupted.”
"It's a sonic map of forgotten places, a tribute to the spirit of reinvention, and a quest to reclaim the essence of American freedom."
Then the singer continues the video saying: “From the golden neon restaurants to the roar of motorcycles, this is a song that celebrates the beauty found in the spaces in between, where the past is reinvented and the future is forged on its own terms.”

Bob Dylan mentions MGK.
Above all, despite the difference in musical styles between the two artists, posts on their social media indicate mutual admiration.
February 2025, Dylan posted a video on his Instagram of MGK performing in 2016.
Then, the flattered rapper replied:
"It was simply the creator doing the complete opposite of what people wanted him to do, randomly posting a video of me rapping in a record store. I was like, 'What the hell?' Trust the signs, man. It was really cool. I'm very grateful."
However, in contrast, and as a result of the new work, the rapper posted a photo of Bob on his stories with the caption "lost americana the album. 8-8 trailer narrated by…".
