Bob Dylan 's archivists have released the original demo for "Wanted Man," a track he wrote for Johnny Cash in 1969.
The recording features the two musicians in a duet while Carl Perkins plays guitar. It will be included in the set Bob Dylan (Featuring Johnny Cash) – Travelin' Thru, 1967-1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 15.
Cash premiered "Wanted Man" in 1969 on the live album At San Quentin and later released a studio version. Cash learned the song a week before performing it for the first time, precisely during the recording with Dylan.
