Bob Dylan a better singer than Elvis Presley Rolling Stone magazine published its list of the Greatest Singers of All Time , the public criticized some of the choices and positions of big names in music, with guitarist Marty Friedman among the outraged Elvis fans.
In the list of the 200 greatest singers in music history, Elvis Presley achieved 17th place, while Bob Dylan came in 15th, praised for the confidence with which he used his "ugly duckling voice" to become one of the greatest eccentric American voices. Elvis's voice, on the other hand, was described as "an instrument of its kind."
This particular comment bothered Friedman, as the musician expressed on social media. “I’m not surprised, considering the source [of the list]. If a media outlet uses the term 'of his genre' to describe the most influential singer of all time, that outlet’s interpretation should be taken with a grain of salt. Nothing to see here,” he wrote.
