[WARNING: TRIGGER WARNING: SEXUAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE]
Nobel Prize-winning musician Bob Dylan , 80, is in serious trouble. The artist has been accused by a 68-year-old woman of sexually abusing her in 1965, when she was only 12 years old. The case was made public today, the 16th, but filed last Friday, the 13th, in the Manhattan Supreme Court, taking advantage of New York's Child Victims Act, which allows people who suffered abuse as children to file lawsuits against their abusers even after the statute of limitations has expired.
According to Page Six , the victim, identified only as JC , was drugged by Dylan with alcohol and drugs in order to gain control and trust over her and sexually abuse her during a night at the famous Chelsea Hotel in New York. The lawsuit also states that the abuse did not happen just once, but extended over six weeks between April and May 1965, and that the crimes left emotional and psychological scars on the victim to this day.
In response to the complaint, Dylan's spokesperson told Rolling Stone , "This claim from 56 years ago is not true and will be vigorously defended," while JC's lawyer stated that "The complaint speaks for itself."
