The box set will include Martin Scorsese's film about the tour.
This year, Netflix announced Martin Scorsese 's documentary Bob Dylan 's Rolling Thunder Revue tour . Now, the release date has been announced for June 12th. Along with the film, a live box set will be released featuring 148 tracks and 14 CDs.
The collection, which comes out on June 7th, will include five "professionally recorded" shows from the 1975 tour. It will also feature audio from recently discovered rehearsals at SIR Studios in New York.
Regarding the film, Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story will be screened in 20 cities before its Netflix release. Screenings are also being scheduled in New York and Los Angeles to make it eligible for awards.
Variety commented that neither the box set nor the film will include material from the continuation of the 1976 tour. This means that fans can expect a possible sequel.
