Lead singer says he will not run away from the problem

The trial of Randy Blythe, lead singer of Lamb Of God, began today, February 4th, in the Czech Republic. Blythe is accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of a fan at a band concert in 2010.

The parents of the victim, Daniel Nosek, are seeking compensation in the amount of approximately $530,000.

Blythe arrived at the court 15 minutes early and did not speak to reporters. Via Instagram, the vocalist commented, “Now it begins. I am calm and prepared. Thank you to the fans for your thoughts and prayers.”.

At the trial, Blythe stated that he is present to uphold his word and responsibility. He says he will not run away from the problem, but will not be held responsible for something he was not guilty of. "The death of a fan breaks my heart," says Blythe.

During the first day of the trial, family and friends of the vocalist appeared to testify in his favor. Blythe blamed the venue's security, which allowed several fans to climb onto the stage.

Friends of the victim also testified. One of them said that after the fall, Randy Blythe asked him if he was okay. When Nosek said yes, Blythe continued the show.
