Blue Pills released their new single, “Don't You Love It,” this Friday, the 19th, the second single from their album Birthday . The song follows the title track, which was released in March. The full album will be available on August 2nd.

“Don't You Love It” will be released on a limited edition 12-inch vinyl with the album's title track, exclusively for Record Store Day 2024, on April 20th.

The new single is about living in the moment and trying to have fun, according to a statement released to the press. “You gotta let that shit go,” says vocalist Elin Larsson . “When life is tough, but you let things go and find the positives. Don’t take life so seriously, just enjoy the ride and let loose.”

Elin says the song was written at home, in her living room: “We were feeling good, Blues Pills is in a good place right now, and we wrote the lyrics based on that feeling.”

Regarding the album, the group commented: “With this album we really let ourselves be free, leaving behind all boundaries and expectations to write songs that we love. We wanted to capture the raw and authentic feeling of when we play live on an album, but striving to create and write the best work we've ever done. Elin was pregnant during the recordings, and what's more rock'n'roll than that? To create human life and music.”
