Earlier this week, blink-182 surprised fans by announcing their newest project: a sequel to the album One More Time… released in 2023. One More Time… Part-2 will feature eight new songs and is scheduled for release on September 6th. Along with the album announcement, the band also promised to release the single “All in My Head” on August 23rd.
However, to the public's further surprise, the band decided to release another track along with the already planned one. “All In My Head” and “No Fun” are now available on streaming services and deal with existential themes, even while still retaining the band's characteristic sense of humor. The first is explosive and explores the duality between loneliness and the turbulence of life on tour. Meanwhile, “No Fun” is a heavy look at the mundanity of adult life and the passing of adolescence.
The cover art for the new album uses the same format as the original, but replaces the current photos of the band members with portraits from their childhood. The album will be available as a complete deluxe double vinyl edition with the original album and the new songs; or as a single vinyl version with only the eight new tracks.
