Tom DeLonge stated that blink-182 's new album is "probably" the best of their career.
The guitarist announced his new collaboration with Fender – a limited-edition Stratocaster guitar – and spoke about the band's new phase in an interview. DeLonge officially returned to blink-182 in 2022 , after seven years.
“I think we’re writing our best songs,” he stated. “I think our next album is probably the best we’ve ever done.”
Next, Tom DeLonge commented on blink-182's shows on tour in the United States. According to him, the live production sums up everything that defines the band. "It has a bit of nostalgia and our history, but it also has the fun, the reverence, and the charm of childhood. And it has rebellion, but it also has technology," he described.
Blink-182 announced their return to the stage in 2022 and were scheduled to perform their first shows in Latin America in 2023. The band was a confirmed headliner at Lollapalooza Brazil, but canceled their South American commitments due to drummer Travis Barker .
The band's first single from this new phase, "Edging ," was released in October.
