Blind Guardian was the band responsible for closing the first day of the inaugural edition of Summer Breeze Brazil this Saturday, the 29th. And after almost a decade without shows in the country, their return was epic and promised a quick comeback.
From the very first chords of the German band, the epic scale of the show was already evident. No other band elicited such devoted reactions from the audience as Blind Guardian, who were greeted with raised arms and robust chants from the crowd.
The band's current tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of the 1992 album Somewhere Far Beyond , which features classics such as "The Bard's Song," sung fervently from beginning to end by the audience, who also celebrated tracks like "Theatre of Pain" and "The Quest for Tanelorn."
Charismatic and with powerful vocals, frontman Hansi Kürsch promised Brazilian fans that the band won't take so long to return . "We'll be back every year from now on," he stated during one of his many interactions with the audience.
The singer had previously stated that the band should come to the country again sometime in 2023. And after such a grand return, for extremely passionate and dedicated fans, the country certainly won't be without the band's fast chords and medieval melodies for so long.
