Blind Guardian promised to return to Brazil as soon as possible and they delivered! The band returns to the country in 2023, just over six months after headlining the Summer Breeze in São Paulo, for six shows on The God Machine in November.
The announcement of the South American dates was made this Monday, the 22nd. Blind Guardian will be playing in Ecuador, Chile, and Argentina with one-off dates before starting a series of shows in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro (18th, at Circo Voador), Belo Horizonte (19th), Curitiba (21st), Porto Alegre (23rd), and two dates in São Paulo (November 25th and 26th).
The band recently broke a nearly decade-long hiatus from performing in Brazil by headlining the first day of the Summer Breeze on April 29th. During the show, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of Somewhere Far Beyond , vocalist Hansi Kürsch promised Brazilian fans that Blind Guardian would "come back every year from now on." Blind Guardian's return to Brazil brings with it the tour promoting their twelfth studio album, The God Machine , due out in September 2022.
