"A Past And Future Secret" is one of Blind Guardian , and it tells the story of the legendary King Arthur .

More specifically, she talks about the prophecy of the wizard Merlin , about the rise and fall of the king.

The song's concept also makes many references to the book series by British author T.H. White , called The Once and Future King , especially in its final part, where he describes Arthur's last moments.

“Listen everyone
, I will tell you everything […]
I saw his end
long before it began.
I knew his name.
He is the one who pulled the sword
from the stone.”

This is probably Merlin speaking, mainly because he said he saw Arthur's end long before it began, alluding to his prophecy.

The sword he mentions is obviously Excalibur.

"My song about the end
I saw in my dreams
My song about the end
I can't stop the dark clouds"

It is very likely that this is Arthur himself speaking, since, before the battle of Camlann, where he fought against Mordred (there is no consensus, but it is believed that Arthur was Mordred's father or uncle), he dreamed that he was going to die.

“Take him back to Avalon […]
Then, farewell, sleep well, my friend.
Take him back to Avalon.
I will wait and watch over
the crown of the future king.”

In my opinion, this is Sir Bedivere speaking, since he was a Knight of the Round Table and the last person to see Arthur alive, right after the battle.

There, Arthur is still alive, and he must return to Avalon to treat his wounds, suffered at the hands of Mordred, whom he killed in combat.

My song about the end
was good, but now it's gone.
My song about the end
was established all along.
My song about the end.

I saw everything.

Sir Bedivere was still speaking, and here the end came, and Arthur, even returning in a magical boat (as the legend says), did not survive his injuries and died.

And when he says that this was "established all along," he is referring to Merlin's prophecy.

And with that, the legend of Arthur comes to an end.
