, former Iron Maiden Blaze Bayley paid tribute to fellow former frontman of the British band, Paul Di'Anno , who passed away at the age of 66 at the end of October following a sudden cardiac complication.

Bayley dedicated "Wrathchild," one of Iron Maiden's classic songs, to his friend with whom he shared stages in concerts and tours over the years.

Blaze Bayley on Di'Anno's death

Following the official announcement of Paul Di'Anno's death, Blaze Bayley used social media to offer condolences for the loss of the musician who shaped generations of metalheads.

“It’s very sad to hear about the death of my friend Paul Di’Anno. […] We did several tours and shows together over the years. He had a great sense of humor and those were crazy times. His voice and his music with Iron Maiden and his own projects will live on. We miss him,” he lamented.
