After a series of live albums, Blaze Bayley is back with War Within Me , a new solo album released this week, the 9th.
Known for his time as the vocalist of Iron Maiden , the singer is the composer and producer of all 10 songs in partnership with guitarist Chris Appleton .
In an Brutally Delicious podcast , Bayley commented on how the pandemic made it possible to work on the project. “We’ve had a lot of time now, which we rarely have, so this is the time to cook, get away from the songs and come back a few weeks later to see how we feel, if it still makes sense or if it’s just a riff stuck in my head because Metallica did it 30 years ago,” he joked.
