The alternative rock project Blame My Youth released the single “The Break” this Friday, the 8th. The new release came with a music video which you can watch at the end of this article.
Sean Van Vleet , vocalist and songwriter for Blame My Youth, takes a nostalgic journey in the single. Regarding the song, he commented: “Writing this song with Joey Moi was a good reminder that my heart hadn’t yet turned to stone. I was happy at the time we wrote it, but I was able to go back in time and knock on a door that I had completely closed.”
He concluded: “Someone recently asked me if I’d ever been dumped, and I answered ‘yes,’ and that was it. A few weeks later, while Joey and I were writing, I continued answering that question in this song.”
