Blackberry Smoke released the single "Ain't the Same" this Friday, the 9th, from the album You Hear Georgia, scheduled for release on May 28th by Thirty Tigers.

The new song came with a lyric video – which you can watch below – and was written by vocalist Charlie Starr about a friend of his. In a press statement he explained: “I wrote this song with Keith Nelson after spending time with a friend who is a veteran and suffers from PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder]. It’s the story of a young soldier going from a battlefield overseas to another kind of battlefield at home, and basically being forced to deal with it alone.”

“Ain't The Same” is the third song revealed from the group's new album, following “Hey Delilah” and the title track. You Hear Georgia was produced by Dave Cobb and is a tribute to the band's deep respect for their roots. Click here to pre-order your copy.
