Blackberry Smoke announced their new album Be Right Here last Friday, the 25th, with the release of the single “Dig a Hole”. The highly anticipated successor to You Hear Georgia (2021) will be released on February 16, 2024, by the label 3 Legged Records/Thirty Tigers.

The new song from the southern rock band is a joint composition by vocalist Charlie Starr and keyboardist Brandon Still , who talk about the importance of making the most of life, since we all have a limited time to live. "Eventually, for all of us, they're going to dig a hole, so make it count," explains Starr.

Lyrically, the band's eighth studio album addresses an important theme in the age of social media: Be Right Here serves as a timely reminder to be present and live authentically.

Blackberry Smoke's new album was produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb and features 10 tracks that travel between rock n' roll, ballads, and country rock. Recorded at Nashville's historic RCA Studio A and Cobb's Georgia Mae in Savannah, the album features the band — Charlie Starr (vocals, guitar), Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), and Brandon Still (keyboards) — alongside Preston Holcomb (drums) and Benji Shanks (guitar), as well as special guest vocals from The Black Bettys.
