This Friday, the 9th, Black Veil Brides released their new single “Fields Of Bone” accompanied by a chilling music video with references to classic horror films, such as A Nightmare on Elm Street . The song is part of the band's new album, The Phantom Tomorrow , which is scheduled for release on June 4th.
2020 interview with Kerrang!, vocalist Andy Biersack said the band decided to focus on “a dynamic of big choruses with heavy guitar riffs” to contrast with their last album, Vale (2018), which was “very mellow” and had “a lot of shine.” “The goal was to find a way to make [the album] grand, with lots of string elements and everything, but still feel like there’s a margin that’s lifted from the chorus,” the singer explained.
Andy went on to say that, despite not liking the term "concept album," The Phantom Tomorrow can be considered one. "There are themes and ideas and moments that are very different from one moment to the next, but the goal at the end of the day, the heart of it all, is to write a heavy rock album and build everything from there, rather than writing a pop album and adding riffs along the way."
