Black Veil Brides releases their new single “Revenger” featuring Machine Head this Thursday, the 23rd . The track is part of the album Vindicate , scheduled for release on May 8th.

“Revenger” frames revenge as fantasy and illusion, following a lone vigilante convinced that retribution could bring justice.

“I’ve always been interested in the kind of ethical dilemma we culturally have of rooting for justice,” comments vocalist Andy Biersack. “I thought it would be an interesting exercise to write lyrics from the perspective of someone trying to find the ultimate form of justice. Since I was writing from someone else’s voice, it seemed like the kind of song that would be best served by having someone else’s voice on it. So, we brought in Robb Flynn from Machine Head.”

“The reason he came to mind first was, of course, his voice, tone, and style, which I thought were perfect for this. He’s also someone who was one of the first real supporters of Black Veil Brides. In the early days, when we were being absolutely torn apart by all the other metal bands, Robb Flynn and Machine Head defended us and said positive things about us and kept that up for years and years. I think it’s one of my favorite songs on the album.”
