Back To The Beginning Ozzy Osbourne 's last show with the original Black Sabbath , took place on July 5th and raised over $190 million for charity (the equivalent of over 1 billion reais), according to a post by Tom Morello , who served as the event's musical director.
The profits will be split equally between the Cure Parkinson’s , which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease, with which Osbourne has lived for about 20 years, Birmingham Children’s , and Acorn Children’s Hospice , both in Black Sabbath’s hometown.
In addition to the live show in Birmingham, fans who couldn't attend in person had the opportunity to purchase a ticket to watch online. In Brazil, the online ticket price was R$82.25.
Tom Morello revealed the total amount raised on his social media, but, according to NME , a Live Nation spokesperson reportedly said the numbers are "false" and that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne eventually announced the correct amount. So far, no one has publicly contradicted Morello.
