The fifth season of Peaky Blinders premieres on August 25th
The gangster series Peaky Blinders will feature two seminal Black Sabbath on the soundtrack of its fifth season.
Director Anthony Byrne The Mirror , “We’ll be using the tracks ‘The Wizard’ and ‘War Pigs.’ We built a music library with songs that we tested in different scenes. Black Sabbath seemed perfect. I thought, ‘How come we’ve never used this before?’”
Actor Cillian Murphy , star of the series, said it's clear when a song fits the show. "You know when a song is for the show," he told NME. "These guys have resisted the tyranny of the mainstream."
Peaky Blinders has featured music by David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Iggy Pop, and Nick Cave on its soundtrack.
