Geezer Butler , legendary Black Sabbath , revealed in a recent interview with Lifeminute that Ozzy Osbourne "is dying to get out there and play." According to Butler, Ozzy even talked to his bandmates about a reunion for their last show.

"He suggested, at his final show, that the four of us go up on stage and maybe do three or four songs together. And that would be it, it was over," he said.

The musician also made it clear that a band tour is out of the question and that any potential reunion would be a one-off event.

Rumors of a Black Sabbath reunion

Since The End Tour in 2017, which marked the band's end, rumors of a reunion have surfaced. In the first half of 2024, some rumors emerged and gained even more traction with Bill Ward in July of this year.

According to a post on Ward's official X profile, the drummer, who did not participate in the farewell tour due to contractual conflicts, was following developments regarding a possible band show in England. The statement mentioned that the musician was in good health and eager to play the group's hits.
